HISTORY

Restoring the Past, Welcoming the Future.

For more than 100 years, this building has been part of Hutchinson's story.

Originally opened in 1923 as the Stamey Hotel, the Meyer Landmark welcomed travelers, hosted celebrations, and became one of downtown Hutchinson's most recognizable landmarks. Today, after one of the largest historic restoration projects in Kansas, it has been thoughtfully transformed into a place people can once again call home.

The Meyer Landmark Apartments honor the building's rich history while introducing a new chapter of modern downtown living, where historic character meets contemporary comfort.

A Rich History Revived.

Restoring a century-old building is about more than preserving brick and mortar. It's about protecting the stories, craftsmanship, and community identity that make a place worth remembering.

Led by Laura Meyer-Dick in honor of her late father, this restoration was driven by a vision to preserve an important piece of Hutchinson's history while addressing the city's growing need for quality housing. Through collaboration with preservation experts, local leaders, and community partners, the building has been carefully restored into 36 thoughtfully designed apartment homes, including 24 moderate-income residences, while maintaining the architectural character that has defined the Landmark for generations.

More Than Apartments

The Meyer Landmark is more than a place to live.

Located in the heart of downtown Hutchinson, residents are steps away from local restaurants, shops, entertainment, and community events. The restored building also features commercial spaces that bring new businesses and energy back to Main Street, helping strengthen the future of downtown while celebrating its past.

Whether you're enjoying the walkable neighborhood, discovering local businesses, or simply coming home to a space filled with history and character, the Meyer Landmark offers a living experience unlike anywhere else in Hutchinson.
